Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect as little as possible. The marketing site has no accounts; its only form is the optional email signup at the end of the Pattern Audit. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. Our school collects only what is needed to run your account and deliver the course. We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

Who we are

SOPHAIA ("we," "us") operates the website at www.sophaia.com and the online school at learn.sophaia.com. Questions about this policy can be sent to the address on our Contact page.

What we collect on www.sophaia.com

The marketing site has no accounts. Its one form is the optional signup at the end of the Pattern Audit: if you choose to give your email address, it is stored with our email delivery service and used to deliver your Field Guide. Your audit answers are scored on your device and never leave your browser — we do not receive or store them. You can unsubscribe at any time. Our hosting provider (Netlify) keeps standard server logs — such as IP address and browser type — for security and operations, as almost every website host does. We also use Google Analytics here; the Analytics section below explains exactly what that involves.

What we collect on learn.sophaia.com

The school runs on Thinkific, our course platform. When you create an account or make a purchase, we collect what is needed to serve you:

• Account information: your name, email address, and password.
• Purchase records: what you bought, when, and the amount.
• Course activity: your progress through lessons, so the course works as a course.

Payments are handled by payment processors (such as Thinkific Payments, Stripe, or PayPal). Your full card number goes to them, not to us — we never see it and never store it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics on both www.sophaia.com and learn.sophaia.com to understand how people find and use SOPHAIA — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and whether they enroll. It helps us decide what to improve; it does not change what you see.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to distinguish visits. The information processed includes pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the source that brought you here. We do not send Google your name or email address. When a purchase happens, we record that an order occurred and its amount — not who you are. When you complete the Pattern Audit, our analytics records which loop led, the loop scores, and the overall band — never your individual answers, and never linked to any email.

Google processes this information on our behalf. You can read how Google handles it at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, opt out across the web with Google’s opt-out add-on, or block and delete cookies in your browser — the site works without them. We use no advertising trackers and do not sell your information.

How we use it

To deliver the courses you enrolled in, process your purchases, respond when you write to us, and send you course updates — including notices when new Stage I modules are released. We may occasionally send other SOPHAIA emails; every email includes an unsubscribe link, and opting out of marketing never affects your course access.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that make SOPHAIA run: our hosting provider (Netlify), our course platform (Thinkific), payment processors, our analytics provider (Google), and email delivery services — each bound to use your data only to provide their service. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Cookies

learn.sophaia.com uses functional cookies so that logging in and checking out work — the ordinary mechanics of an online school. Both sites also use Google Analytics cookies, described in the Analytics section above. We set no advertising cookies anywhere.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep account data while your account is active, and purchase records as long as bookkeeping and law require. You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete your personal information — write to us via the Contact page and we will act on it promptly.

Age

SOPHAIA is intended for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Where data is processed

Our service providers may process data on servers outside your country, including the United States and Canada, under their own security and privacy commitments.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will be noted plainly, not buried.
